Midterm Submission: Magazine

This is the finished magazine; Antonious. I chose the name because I was asking all of my friends what I should name the magazine, and my friend, Tony, jokingly told me that I should name it after him. So I did.

In order to design the pages, I had to download photoshop on to my computer using the school's account. Then I had to learn photoshop, which was not easy. Luckily, I pretty much figured out how to use the program, and while the result is not absolutely perfect, all things considering, I am very proud of the results of my magazine.

Photoshoot: Alexa

This is the photoshoot for my cover photo. I did not schedule this one beforehand because I completely forgot about it until today. After shooting at Payne park, my friends and I went back to my house and we did a photoshoot of my gorgeous friend, Alexa. We also did not do a location scouting for this shoot because it was a surprise and because all the photos were taken in my bedroom. The images were taken both on a blank wall and in front of my white curtains.
The eye makeup, seemingly simple, took my friend, Nya (one of the previous models), an hour to do. This photoshoot is for the article, Colors to Make Your Eyes Pop!

Photoshoot: Skatepark

After finishing the photoshoot at school, my friends and I went to Payne Park to do the photoshoot there. I took probably over 50 photos, but these fourteen were all of my favorites. While at the skate park, we met some boys doing tricks on bikes and they got into the background of some pictures while doing tricks, but unfortunately those pictures just didn't look very good, so they didn't make the "favorites" list.
We had to finish the photoshoot very quickly because a police officer came and yelled at us because we were trespassing (we did not realize we were trespassing), but it all ended up OK because one of the skater boys got into a fight with the police officer so we had the perfect distraction to finish up the photoshoot and then sneak away.

Photoshoot: School

Today is Wednesday the 18th of December. Below is the first photoshoot of the day, taken in front of the parent pickup/ dropoff at school. Here are some of the photos from the shoot.

We had a lot of fun doing this photoshoot (you can see Allie goofing around in some of the pictures). The space that I have planned to put one of these photos into is a tall space, so I knew going into this that I wanted the image to be tall. However, I still tried to get some varying poses and angles (I got some closeups, high angles, and low angles). Unfortunately, for a lot of these pictures I had to sit or lay in the road (you cannot see this but I was sitting where the cars had to drive), so my biggest issue was that I nearly got hit with a car. Otherwise, the photoshoot was super easy and fun.

Photoshoot: Barns and Noble

Today is Tuesday the 17th. After school today, I went to Barns and Noble and realized that I needed more pictures for my magazine table of contents so I did a quick photoshoot of my beautiful friend, Izzy, studying. The picture is used for the article Study Tips from Students because she is clearly studying.

Below, is a funny image that I found in a Cosmopolitan magazine (a girl on a toilet seat) and I really like the image composition, so I decided to somewhat mimic the model's pose with Izzy in these next photos.
